Join us at Video Game Trader in Sugarloaf Mills for the Pokémon TCG: Pitch Black Prerelease! This event is a great chance to play with the newest Pokémon cards before the full release, build a deck from your prerelease kit, and enjoy a fun tournament with the local Pokémon community.

Required Gear: Everything needed to build your deck is included in your Build & Battle Kit
Each player receives 1 Pokémon TCG: Pitch Black Build & Battle Kit. Each kit includes a ready-to-play 40-card prerelease deck and 4 Pitch Black booster packs.
Players may use cards from their booster packs to customize their prerelease deck before the tournament begins. Only cards opened from your Build & Battle Kit may be used during the event.
Prerelease rules will apply:
• 40-card decks
• 4 Prize cards
• Best-of-One matches
• 20-minute rounds
• Only cards from your prerelease kit may be used
🏆 Prizing
All participants receive:
• 3 Pokémon TCG: Pitch Black booster packs
• 1 Pokémon Prize Pack
Prizing is awarded to all participants at the conclusion of the event.
✅ Important Event Notes
There are only 30 Build & Battle Kits available for this event.
No Pitch Black Build & Battle Kits will be sold after the event. Kits are reserved for prerelease participants only.
Players may preregister online or sign up in-store while spots are available. Seating is limited, so preregistration is recommended.
⚠️ Late Entry & Waitlist Policy
The waitlist begins at 11:00 AM, the same time as check-in.
If you preregistered or purchased a ticket in advance, you must be checked in at least 5 minutes before deck building begins. For this event, that means you must be checked in by 11:55 AM.
If you are not checked in by 11:55 AM, your spot may be given to the next player on the waitlist. If your spot is given away, your ticket will be refunded as store credit.
